Survivors Assistance

Every year, about 150 law enforcement officers are killed in the line of duty, and half of those are murdered. The loss of an officer and family member is always a tragedy for both the community and family. Compounding that heartbreak, families are often left with financial and emotional problems.

Your donation helps APSA provide assistance to the survivors of officers killed in the line of duty. This assistance is available to the families of any officer killed while doing their job.
APSA sets aside a percentage of our operating budget to fund this assistance, and we fulfill it every year up to the limit of our available funds. Your contribution will help APSA show our community's compassion by helping the families of our fallen officers, their daughters, sons, and spouses. Thank you!

The Survivors Assistance Application can be downloaded here.

NOTE: Because of privacy concerns, we do not publish the names of APSA Survivors Assistance beneficiaries. We may, however, occasionally share a recipient's message in order to pass along their thanks to our donors.

"This tragedy is still unbelievable to us, but with people like you and your kindness, we are able to work our way through all of this and are now moving forward."
